next weeks road
construction projectsFor motorists trying to avoid traffic tangles created by construction projects on H-1 and other highways, here's next week's update to stick on the dashboard.
Tomorrow: The Koko Head-bound H-1 lane closures near Isenberg Street, announced in earlier roadside postings, have been postponed a week. But Koko Head-bound University on-ramps and offramps and the King Street on-ramps and offramps will be closed for Sunday night re-paving.
Monday: Near the airport viaduct, one Ewa-bound H-1 lane will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. One Honolulu-bound lane will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The closures will be daily through Friday for work on a Zip-lane extension.
Monday: At Kunia Interchange, the right on-ramp lane to the Honolulu-bound H-1 will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for roadwork.
Tuesday: The Vineyard offramp from the westbound H-1 will be closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday for barrier work.
Wednesday: Work on a new waterline on Kalanianaole Highway will begin. Waikui Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Waiholo Street will remain open, contrary to an earlier announcement.
July 30: Two eastbound H-1 lanes near Isenberg Street will be closed during the day for waterline work. The closure of the left and middle lanes will be from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The middle lane will remain closed through resurfacing work which begins at 8 p.m.
