Towering Over Waikiki

By Ken Ige, Star-Bulletin
Gov. Ben Cayetano signs a beam yesterday on the 18th floor of
Hilton Hawaiian Village's new Kalia Tower, which is scheduled to
open next spring. The $95 million tower will have 453 rooms and
suites on 24 stories, bringing the village up to nearly 3,000 total
rooms. Lower on the tower will be a two-level spa and health center
with outdoor pool and cafe service. A 24-hour Xerox Business
Center will cater to business travelers.
