Ruth L. Bell, 98, of Honolulu, died Friday at Arcadia Retirement Residence. She was born in Pueblo, Colorado. She is survived by sons Dr. Douglas B. II and James R.; daughter Margaret Merrion, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services: 4 p.m. Thursday at Arcadia chapel. No flowers. Donations suggested to Arcadia Memorial Irrevocable Trust, Central Union Church and Punahou School.

Domy B. Cabang, 74, of Honolulu, died June 18 at home. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Naty; son Agapito; daughters Angie Cantorna, Delia Cachola, Violeta Barrientos and Claudia Quiocho, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Services: 7 p.m. Friday at Nuuanu Mortuary. Call after 6 p.m. Mass: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa. Elaine N. Fujino, 67, of Kealakekua, Hawaii, a retired Kona Police Department police reporter, died yesterday at home. She was born in Waimea, Hawaii. She is survived by husband Yasuo; sons Lloyd and Melvin; father Yutaka Kimura; sister Mabel Ozaki; brothers Samuel Kimura, Thomas Kimura and Charles Kimura, and two grandchildren. David Holtby, 82, of Honolulu, a retired teacher and Star-Bulletin free-lance writer, died Tuesday in Kuakini Hospital. He was born in Escanaba, Mich. Stanley M. Hoohuli, 67, of Nanakuli, a military veteran and retired mason for Mason Union, died Wednesday. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by daughters Thelma Hoohuli-Aiwohi, Karen Bell and Sharon Ferriman; sons Robert, Stanford, Stanley, Warren and Wayne; brothers and sisters, 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services: 7 p.m. Thursday at Mililani Mortuary, Makai Chapel. Call after 6 p.m. Ashes to be scattered at 4 p.m. Friday at Black Rocks, Nanakuli.

Kyung S. Kang, 78, of Honolulu, Pastor of the Heaven Gospel Church in Korea, died Thursday in Ewa Beach. She was born in Korea. She is survived by husband Elder E.M.; son Pyong C.; daughter Choon J., seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.

Joseph Kapule Sr., 77, of Waimanalo, a retired crane operator for Hawaiian Dredging, died July 9 in Medford, Oregon. He was born in Moloaa, Kauai. He is survived by wife Julia B.; daughter Ivy L. Carter; sons Donald L. Sr. and James K. Sr.; brothers Solomon and David; sister Momi, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Lois E. Newhall, 81, of Honolulu, a retired real estate salesperson, died Tuesday in Kaiser Hospital. She was born in Spokane, Wash. She is survived by son Larry; daughter Marsha, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Private services.

Isamu Ogi, 82, of Hilo, a retired U.S. Geological Survey employee, died July 9 at home. He was born in Kona, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Doris; sons Kenneth Kameoka and Lloyd Nakano; daughter Cheryl Hess; sisters Tamae Kon, Teruko Yamanaka, Clara Takata and Dorothy Arakaki; brothers Kazumi, Tadashi and Paul, and six grandchildren. Leona Omo, 77, of Kealia, Kauai, a retired pantry cook for the Kauai Sands Hotel, died Thursday in Wilcox Hospital. She is survived by husband Alfredo; sons Guillermo Donayri, Richard Donayri, Francis Donayri, Raphael Donayri, Charles Omo, Patrick Omo and Alfred Omo; daughters Naty Caminos, Beatrice Hirahara, Barbara Soto, Darlene Donayri, Joyce Omo and Mercedes Youn; sisters Lorencia Corpuz and Alice Jacintho; brothers Larry Espinosa, Vernon Paler and Florentino Paler, 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Richard K. Sodetani, 82, of Honolulu, a retired welder for Mid Pacific Welding, died July 7 in Queen's Hospital. He was born in Papaloa, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Edna S.; daughters Elaine S.
