Thomas K. Aila, 79, of Waimanalo, a retired truck driver, died June 21 in Waimanalo. He was born in Honolulu. Shelees N. Bastatas, 7, of Kaneohe, a student, died Monday. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by parents Sheldon and Lisa; brothers Sheldon Jr. and Donovan; grandparents Sharon and Surjohn Carbonell and Vincent and Fredlyn Bastatas, and great-grandparents Vincente Bulawan and Philomena Bastatas. Jerry S. Doi, 78, of Honolulu, a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, died June 14 in Queen's Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Ethel S.; son Rus T.; daughter Debra N. Hahn; brothers Aketo and Asao; sister Frances Sugano, and four grandchildren. Services: 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Elizabeth Frias, 90, of Honolulu died Wednesday in St. Francis-West Hospice. She was born in Kona. She is survived by son Alfred Viveiros; sisters Elizabeth Christabal, Eliza Nahoeu and Rachel Peter, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Henry T. Fukuda, 78, of Honolulu, a retired accountant for the state Department of Planning and Economic Development, died June 7 in Kaiser Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Carmen; son Glenn; daughters Marilynn Nakasone and Carole Guerrero; brothers Edwin, George, James and Richard; sisters Doris Crowell and Mary Chang, and six grandchildren. Lynn L. Gromichuck, 47, of Waianae died June 16 in Honolulu. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by daughter Lynn K.; brother Herman May; stepsister Leilani M. Kirchoff, and two grandsons. Private services.

Noboru Hirayama, 73, of Waipahu, a retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, died June 17 in St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Aiea. He is survived by brother Takashi "Ted" and sister Alice Yee. Private services.

Franciszek Krukowski, 53, of Honolulu, a retired chief yeoman of the U.S. Coast Guard, died Monday. He was born in Germany. He is survived by wife Cheryl; daughters Lisa Cockrell and Amy Krukowski; son Mark; brothers Michael and Jake; sisters Donna Wilson, Helen Waxman and Mary E. Kubiszyn, and mother Maria Grzemski. Committal services: 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.

John C. "Captain Jack" Miller, 74, died June 20 in Hartly, Del. He is survived by son Robert F. of Honolulu, two grandchildren and companion Catherine A.B. Faulkner. Mass and burial on the mainland. Hisako T. Okasako, 73, of Kapaa, Kauai died yesterday in Wilcox Hospital. She was born in Koloa, Kauai. She is survived by husband Tsutao; son Norman; daughter Caroline; brothers Howard M. and Reginald T. Patrocinia O. Padua, 81, of San Bruno, Calif. and formerly of Kailua died last Friday in California. She was born in the Philippines. Elenoa R. Papali'i, 66, of Honolulu, who worked for Honolulu Community Action Program and Abo Laundry, died June 19 in Honolulu. She was born in American Samoa. She is survived by sons Robert, Sam, Siave and Jerry; daughters Martha Sauilemau, Toesuli Laulu, April Correa and Vaialofi Jones; brothers Fili Uati and Foetuese A. and Fili K. Eino J. Vehanen, 88, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a missionary with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, died Sunday in Hilo Hospital. He was born in South West Africa. He is survived by wife Toshie; sons Martin, George and James; daughter Lena Maatta; sister Kaarina Hytinkoski, and five grandchildren.
