Chad Santos has been sent by the Kansas City Royals to Spokane in the short-season Class A Northwest League from Charleston, W.V., in the full-season Class A team South Atlantic League. Santos was struggling at the plate with a .197 batting average at Charleston.
Ian Perio earned his first pro victory last night in relief for the Lowell (Mass.) Spinners of the Class A New York-Penn League.
