Dancers from
Tokyo compete

Dancers from Hula Studio Manuwai of Tokyo, under
the direction of Kumu Hula Masami Manuwai, dance
to "Lei Anuhea O Ke Kuahiwi" during the first night
of the 27th annual King Kamehameha Hula Competition
last night at Neal Blaisdell Center Arena. The
competition promotes the serious study
of mele and hula.

a tube setting up right in front of you, looking like the
stuff of dreams -- and then you have to turn out of it
to go around a guy paddling out. Auwe. Oh well....
