Wild at the zoo
Star-BulletinThe AT&T Wildest Show Wednesday concert series continues this week with Hula Joe and the Hutjumpers performing 6 to 8 p.m. at the Honolulu Zoo's stage lawn. Gates will open at 4:35 p.m. on concert days, and a $1 donation is requested to benefit the zoo.
Shows will continue through the summer. Shows run 6 to 7 p.m. except where noted:
June 21 -- Ka'au Crater Boys performs, featuring Ernie Cruz Jr., Shawn Ishimoto and Jon Porlas.
June 28 -- Imua jams back-yard style.
July 5 -- "Salsa Night," featuring Rolando Sanchez and dance demonstrations, 6 to 8 p.m.
July 12 -- Melveen Leed, Hawaii's popular female vocalist sings.
July 19 -- Rachel Gonzales performs at 5 p.m., followed by Eric Gilliom and his eclectic blend of Hawaiian, pop, rock and jazz music.
July 26 -- Palolo performs Hawaiian contemporary reggae.
Aug. 2 -- Joy; all-female ukulele group performs Hawaiian, Latin and swing music.
Aug. 9 -- Jimmy Borges performs with his All-Star Band featuring Gabe Baltazar, Noel Okimoto, Betty Lou Taylor and Steve Jones, from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m.
Aug. 16 -- Kapalakiko Hawaiian Band, from San Francisco, performs at 4:45 p.m. Singer, guitarist and composer Audy Kimura follows.
Aug. 23 -- Rubber Soul, performs a tribute to the Beatles.
Aug. 30 -- Rocky Brown, an original cast member of the Broadway musical "Miss Saigon" sings contemporary and show tunes.
