Malama o Manoa
Check out some historic Manoa homes.
The tour of exteriors, examining the architecture and charm of "College Hills, Manoa Valley's Historic Homes of the 1900s," runs 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the last tour starting at 10:30 a.m.
Tours start from Kamanele Park at the corner of University Avenue and Kaala Street. Park free at Mid Pacific, 2445 Kaala St. Tickets are $10. Bring an umbrella in preparation for Manoa's famous mist. For more information, call 988-6862.

Tickets range from $10 to $35 for the event that begins 7:30 p.m. at Hawaii Theatre. Call 528-0506.
This year, the Hawai'i Alliance for Arts Education will present its Alfred Preis Award to Irmgard Aluli, leader of her family musical group Puamana.
Aluli has composed more than 300 songs. Last year, she was inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame.
Dancing, fry bread, crafts and music will all come together Saturday and Sunday at the 7th annual Intertribal Council of Hawaii's PowWow 2000 at Kapiolani Park. Fancy feathers, finery part of powwow
Singer, fancy war dancer and river cane flute player Tommy Wildcat will perform. Traditional dances, including women's and girls' jingle dress, grass and round, will be presented.
Kumu hula John Keola Lake and his halau also will perform and Native American veterans will be honored in the grand entry.
The event, sponsored by AT&T Hawaii, runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with dancing starting at noon. Admission is free.
