Victory at Magic Island

Bronson Chong, center, celebrates with friends after winning the
pingpong drop in Local Motion's "Surf Into Summer" competition
at Magic Island yesterday. More than 500 pingpong balls were
dropped. The numbers on balls were good for prizes. Chong's
grand prize was a trip to the mainland. Radio stations KIKI,
KUCD and KDNN sponsored the drop.

In Honor Of Others

Devotees of Buddhist order Shinnyo-en gathered at Keehi Lagoon
yesterday evening for the annual Toro-Nagashi lantern floating
ceremony. People offered prayers for those who have
completed their journey through life.
