goes into orbitWithout any idea as to how to return to Earth, the crew must deal with alien beings, personal crises, general incompetence, and -- most daunting of all -- audience suggestions, before they can make it home.
That's the back story for "Loose Screws: Spaced," starting its run tonight at Leeward Community College Lab Theatre. The production moves to Mid-Pacific Institute's Kawaiahao Theatre next weekend.
When: 8 p.m. today through Saturday 'LOOSE SCREWS: SPACED'
Where: Leeward Community College Lab Theatre
Tickets: $5, available at the door a half hour before show time
Call: 523-1004
Also: 8 p.m. May 19 to 21 at Mid-Pacific Institute's Kawaiahao Theatre
Each night of the run, the crew will create a new "episode" of the show, based on input from the audience. As with most weekly TV series, no prior knowledge of the show is needed to understand the plot. However, audience members that attend on multiple nights should expect to see the crew in an entirely different adventure.
As always, during the improvisational theater group's performances, audience members are encouraged to participate. This time, you are expected to bring futuristic clothing items to be used as costumes by aliens encountered by the crew. All items will be returned.
Veteran Screws R. Kevin Doyle and Tony Pisculli, along with new Screw Andy Utech, developed "Loose Screws: Spaced."
Among the performers are Robb Bonnell, Monica Cho, Chris Doi, Blake Kushi, Wayne Takabayashi, Denise White and Kelly Williams.
