DeRenne, Sardinha
picked to college
baseball dream team

The United States will send professional baseball players to the 2000 Olympics, but that didn't stop Baseball America from picking a college dream team.

Two players from Hawaii, Keoni DeRenne, a shortstop for Arizona, and Dane Sardinha, a catcher for Pepperdine, are on the team. Both were cited for their defense.

The U.S. used collegiate players in international competition from 1984 to 1996.
