CONTESTS

"Cure for MS" Poetry Contest

Amateur poets may submit one poem, 20 lines or less, in any style and on any subject. Mail entries to: Montel Poetry Contest, 1 Poetry Plaza, Owings Mills, MD 21117 or enter online at www.poetry.com/montel. All entrants will receive a response and an autographed picture from Montel Williams. The International Society of Poets will donate $1 per entry to the MS Research fund. Winners will receive $1,000 and an all expense paid trip to New York to be a part of the Montel Williams show. No entry fee.

Free Verse Contest

Seeking unpublished, original poetry with a 10-30 line limit. Type each poem with title on one page with no name and address. Include a 3-by-5-inch card with your name, address and titles. Contest fee: 3 poems for $6. Winning poems will be published in "The Anthology of New England Writers 2001." First place: $300; second place: $200; third place: $100. Poetry Competition 2000
