Sources close to the Musashigawa stable said that yokozuna planned to take a day off from practice on Thursday and see how his knee feels after that.
Musashimaru has pulled out of a sumo tournament only once in his career, withdrawing from the New Year tourney in January on the fourth day with a sprained left wrist.
