for basketball playoffsThe West side of next week's Oahu Interscholastic Association basketball tournament is set.
Moanalua and Leilehua have clinched first-round byes, and Nanakuli, Aiea, Pearl City and Radford have locked up the other tournament spots.
After last night's games, 10 of the 11 teams in the division each have one regular-season game left to play, tomorrow. Waianae completed its season last night.
NO. 8 LEILEHUA 48, PEARL CITY 45:
The visiting Mules (8-1) hit 10-of-18 free throws in the fourth quarter and held on in the closing seconds for a comeback win over the Chargers (5-4).Leilehua erased an eight-point halftime deficit with a 14-4 run in the third quarter.
Trailing by three in the last seconds, Pearl City had a chance to tie the game, but missed.
Sequoya Stokes scored 10 points for the Mules and Heidi Garcia added eight more.
Pearl City's Mililani Monis led all scorers with 17 points.
