Earnhardt to meet
fans at Mighty Mo

NASCAR rookie driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. will sign autographs aboard the USS Missouri tomorrow from 2-3:30 p.m.

There is no charge for the autographs but there is a charge to visit the battleship. The fees range from $5-$10 for children and $10-$14 for adults.

Earnhardt is a two-time champion of the NASCAR Busch Car Series and son of racing legend Dale Earnhardt Sr. His visit is sponsored by Anheuser-Busch in appreciation of the racing fans and military personnel in Hawaii.

Vulcans rained out

Yesterday's softball doubleheader between the University of Hawaii-Hilo and Cal State Dominguez Hills was rained out and will not be made up.

Eggs and racing

The inaugural Easter Egg Extravaganza at Hawaii Motor Speedway will take place Saturday.

The gates open at 5 p.m. and Double K Country 102.7, which is sponsoring the event, will start broadcasting live at 5:30.

An Easter Egg hunt at 6:30 p.m. will be open to children, 12 and under, followed by racing on the quarter-mile track.

Ambassadors coming

The Harlem Ambassadors Show basketball team will perform at the Naval Station Pearl Harbor on April 29.

The Ambassadors will face Pearl Harbor's All-Navy team at 7 p.m. in the Bloch Arena Gymnasium.
