Senior citizens at the Waikiki Community Center host 20
senior citizen students from Osaka University, who taught
them aspects of Japanese culture. The students are on their
first trip to Hawaii. Above, Lily Rolz is fitted with a
headband to make ready for the bon dance. Below,
lunch is served at the Waikiki Community Center.
The menu included chirashi-sushi, cooked salad
and miso soup.
