Two events celebrate
allure of beads
Borders Ward Centre will host a Bead Ho'olaule'a noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, with demonstrations on beaded loomwork, bead weaving and beaded wirework by Alicia Oh and Ann Teruya.
Displays will also show the process of glass beadmaking and braiding. The event is free.

For more information about beads, The Beading Society will hold its monthly meeting at the Academy Art Center at 7 p.m. April 26. Dusty Gruver of Tribal Artifacts will feature his Southeast Asian finds. For more information, call Bonnie at 487-2090.
