Heavenly experience

Explore the heavens with the Hawaiian Astronomical Society 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Bishop Museum.

The HAS, in celebration of Astronomy Day, will set up several telescopes and astronomy related exhibits for anyone interested in learning more about stars, planets, galaxies and other celestial phenomena. And, if weather permits, there will be a solar projection in the Bishop Museum observatory.

Admission is free for the Astronomy Day programs, but there is the regular admission charge to visit the rest of the museum.

The museum planetarium, meanwhile, has been closed since Monday for the installation of a new star projector. It will reopen May 13.

For more information, call the Center for Space Education at 848-4162. For pre-recorded sky information, call 848-4136.
