Rae Self The point guard for the defending state champions scored 22 points, had 17 assists and 16 steals and grabbed nine rebounds as the Warriors began defense of their Interscholastic League of Honolulu title with three wins and no losses.

Jason Teruya The senior second baseman went 3-for-4, including the go-ahead single in the second extra inning Saturday as the Raiders beat Punahou, 8-7, in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu opener for both teams. Teruya also had two doubles.

Tai Soo, Kamehameha: The Warriors' forward scored 34 points and collected 17 rebounds in her team's three victories last week. GIRLS' BASKETBALL
Malena Feeney, St. Francis: The 5-6 senior point guard scored 30 points, dealt 16 assists and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Troubadors opened defense of their ILH Division II title with victories over Punahou and St. Andrew's.
Kainoa Fialkowski, Maryknoll: The fourth-year starter scored 14 points to lead the Spartans over University High on Saturday for Maryknoll's first win of the season.
Amy Kotani, Moanalua: Scored 11 points to lead the Menehune to a 53-16 season-opening victory over Campbell on Saturday.
Momilani Monis, Pearl City: Led the Chargers with 10 points as they beat Radford, 30-19, in their OIA West opener on Saturday.
Rosemarie Kelly, Nanakuli: Scored 19 points on Saturday in the Golden Hawks' 42-40 league-opening victory over Mililani's Trojans.
Tristina Nitta, Waianae: Scored 12 points as the Seariders beat Wailua's Bulldogs, 36-18, in their OIA West season-opener on Saturday.
Ikaika DuPont, Kamehameha: Went 3-for-4 with a double, homer and five RBIs as the Warriors won their ILH season-opener, 14-7, over Damien on Saturday. BASEBALL
Isaac Harbottle, St. Louis: Pitched five innings of one-run relief as the Crusaders opened their ILH season with a 16-4 victory over Maryknoll. Harbottle struck out four and walked none.
Bryan Tanabe, Mid-Pacific: Drove in two runs with two hits as Mid-Pacific beat University/Hawaii Baptist, 6-3, in the teams' ILH season-opener on Saturday.
Alika Kuaoka and Waipa Nishimura, Kamehameha: Each rapped three hits in the Warriors' win Saturday.
Joe Cabansag, Swan Paiva and Kalvin Koverman, St. Louis: Had three hits apiece in the Crusaders' victory on Saturday.
Jovaustin Thornton-Murray, St. Louis: Hit a double and drove in four runs in the Crusaders' win Saturday.
Vera Simms, Mililani: The state-record holder in the 300 intermediate hurdles won both hurdles events in an Oahu Interscholastic Association meet at Mililani on Saturday.
