They are accompanied by vignettes explaining the dishes or their ingredients. A recipe for malassadas, for example, is paired with an homage to Leonard's Bakery -- "Leonard's still does them best," the authors proclaim.

The team represented Hawaii at the competition in Idaho and as gold medalists will now compete for the national title in July.
The team had to prepare and serve a four-course meal in 90 minutes.
Team members are: Suwanless Pease, Gilbert Galiza, Don Hill and John Meriales.
If he signs, Baldwin will join Josh Hartnett and Ben Affleck, the picture's leads, as well as Cuba Gooding Jr., who plays a supporting role. The female lead has yet to be cast.
Shooting is slated to start in early April in Hawaii.
