UH on water polo trip
The sixth-ranked University of Hawaii Wahine water polo squad will begin a California road trip against No. 13 UC San Diego tomorrow.UH has lost three out of its last four matches, including a 14-3 drubbing at the hands of Stanford March 5.
Junior Lisa DeRossi leads the Wahine in scoring with 24 goals.
After taking on the Tritons, UH (9-6) will play a MPSF match against San Diego State before closing out the trip at Long Beach State.
UH's Brooks arrested
University of Hawaii wide receiver Attrice Brooks was arrested yesterday in Waikiki for operating a moped without a license.The 23-year-old was arrested near the Waikiki Trade Center at the intersection of Kuhio Avenue and Nohonani Street at 6:20 a.m., police said.
He was released from the cellblock at police headquarters after posting $100 bail. His District Court appearance is scheduled for Monday afternoon.
Alcoran to AYSO post
Tami Alcoran has been appointed the Regional Commissioner for AYSO Region 113.Alcoran will oversee nearly 1,000 youth soccer players competing in Kaneohe and Kahaluu.
