Police are warning Oahu convenience stores about an armed man wearing a baseball cap suspected of robbing four businesses since Friday.

Police are concerned because his behavior has escalated in each robbery.

In the latest holdup, he entered Middle Street Market in Kalihi yesterday at 3:24 p.m., pulled out a handgun from his waist and aimed it at the cashier, police said. He then grabbed cash from the register and drove away.

About 12 hours earlier, the 7-Eleven store at 897 Kamehameha Highway in Pearl City was robbed by a man who brandished a handgun that was tucked in his waist.

On Sunday, the Island Mini Mart on Farrington Highway in Waipahu was robbed at 5:30 p.m. by the suspect who had a handgun tucked in his waist. On Friday, the Island Mini Mart on Kipapa Drive in Mililani was robbed at 3:18 a.m.

In the Mililani robbery, he told the cashier that "he looked like a nice guy," therefore would only take cigarettes, according to a police report. The suspect only showed a handgun that was tucked in his waist, when the cashier asked to see his weapon, police said.

In each robbery, the suspect wore a baseball cap. He is described as a male in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and 120 pounds. He is believed to be driving a gray or light blue Honda with tinted windows.
