Let's see, Ricky Martin or Mark McGrath? Martin? McGrath? Who's it gonna be, girls?

Tickets for Martin's well-publicized Aloha Stadium concert went on sale over the weekend. Tickets for Sugar Ray, with the telegenic McGrath as frontman, go on sale Saturday. Both concerts take place 7:30 p.m. March 26.

Sugar Ray, known for hits like "Fly" and "Every Morning," will be performing at World Cafe with local band Sunburn as special guest.

Tickets are $26.50, plus applicable service charges. Outlets are: Radio Free Music Center, Tower Records-Kahala and Pearl Kai, Tower Video Kapiolani, Hungry Ear Records-Makaloa and Kailua, Tempo Music, Jelly's-Market City and Pearl Kai, University of Hawaii Campus Center, House of Music, ITT Kaneohe MCBH, Pearl Harbor Bloch Arena, Schofield ITR and select Safeway stores. Tickets may also be purchased by calling 526-4400.

World Cafe is at 1130 N. Nimitz Highway. The show is for all ages and doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Day of Caring T-Shirt Design Contest: Aloha United Way is seeking entries for a T-shirt design contest for this year's Youth Day of Caring. The design will be featured on the T-shirt and promotional materials. The contest winner will receive passes to Hawaiian Waters Adventure Park. Annual High School Jazz Competition: The Monterey Jazz Festival's 30th Annual High School Jazz Competition will be held at the Monterey Fairgrounds in California, April 7-9. High School big bands, combos, vocal groups, and individual musicians are invited to compete for cash prizes, trophies, scholarships, and a spot on the 2000 Monterey Jazz Festival High School All-Star Band. Summer Research Program: Straub Foundation is accepting applications from college and university students interested in participating in its annual Summer Student Research Program. The program is open to graduate and undergraduate students pursuing careers in medicine. Student researchers are selected competitively on the basis of overall qualifications, academic performance, interests, and letter of recommendation. Priority is given to students from Hawaii.
