breaks swim markBaldwin senior Cheyne Bloch broke his own state record in the 100 yard freestyle as the Local Motion State Swimming and Diving Championships opened yesterday at Soichi Sakamoto Pool at the Maui War Memorial Complex in Wailuku.
Bloch was timed yesterday in 46.54 seconds, breaking his mark of 46.83 set at last year's state meet at the University of Hawaii.
The championships conclude with today's finals. The top eight qualifiers from the trials advanced to the finals.
