Vincent O. "Vinny" Marino, 61, of Kaneohe, founder and executive director of Habilitat Inc., will be remembered in services 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary.

He died Monday in San Diego.

He is survived by wife Victoria M. "Vickie," children Lila M. Marino-Camacho and Victoria M. Marino, brother Joseph Jr. and a granddaughter.

Call 6 to 9 p.m. Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church. Call after 9 a.m. Private inurnment.


Hookahi Apela, 76, of Honolulu, a retired fisherman, died Jan. 29 in Straub Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by nieces and hanai family. James H. Christian, 70, of Kailua, former field supervisor for Hawaiian Electric Co., died Wednesday in Kailua. He was born in Lihue. He is survived by wife Patricia W.; son James A.; daughters Anne C. Elliott and Lynn C. Spitzer, sisters Betsy J. Christian and Janet M. Schoenand and five grandchildren. Marilyn D. "Marty" Crawford, 56, of Wahiawa, a bartender with 19th Puka, Navy Marine Golf Course, died Jan. 26 in Wahiawa. She was born in California. She is survived by sons Michael D. Crawford and Robert A. Anduha; daughter Michelle Spencer; mother Eleanor J. Heltzel; brother Mark Heltzel, sister Juliann Randall and 18 grandchildren. Cindy Lou Freitas, 33, of Texas, formerly of Honolulu, died Jan. 27 at home. William J. Hayduk, 82, of Honolulu, a retired GTE Hawaiian Tel plant training instructor, died Sunday in Queen's Hospital. He was born in Yonkers, N.Y. Kaha'i J. Hennessy, infant son of Michael and Keala Hennessy of Henderson, Nev., died Jan. 21 in Las Vegas. He is also survived by a twin brother. Graveside services: 3 p.m. Monday at Hawaiian Memorial Park.

Nathan A. Ilar, 32, of Kahului, owner of "Hawaiian Impressions," will be remembered in a Mass 7:30 p.m. Friday at Christ the King Catholic Church. Evelyne I. Johnson, 94, of Arcadia Retirement Center, a teacher at Maui and Roosevelt high schools, died Jan. 25. She was born in Michigan. She is survived by sisters Helen J. Edmund K. "Uncle Eddie" Kahue, 82, of Honolulu died Tuesday in Queen's Hospital. He was born in Lahaina. James K. Kealohapauole, 67, of Honolulu, a retired glazed tile installer, died Jan. 29 in Kuakini Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. Meleseini Kite, 56, of Honolulu died Jan. 26. She was born in Kolofo'ou, Tonga. Kelela L.P. Moon, 49, of Honokowai, Maui, a salesperson for Sultan Co., died Jan. 27 at home. She was born in Fahefa, Tonga. She is survived by sons Samiuela Kaufononga and David A. Brother Edward G. Westbrock, 89, of Honolulu, a Marianist brother who taught at St. Louis School and Chaminade University, died Tuesday in Cupertino, Calif. He was born in Cincinnati. Sandra S.N. "Sandy" Yama, 50, of Kapaa, Kauai, a business service supervisor at the Department of Transportation, Airports Division, died Thursday in Wilcox Hospital. She was born in Lihue. She is survived by husband Rodney N.; sons Brandon and Rodney "Koalani" Jr.; daughters Cherish and Melissa "Ihilani"; parents Ted and Helen Matsuura, grandmother Umeyo Akama; brothers Russell and Robin Nohara, sister Natalie Gerona and a grandchild.
