Wahine remain

The Hawaii Wahine remained a half game behind Western Athletic Conference leader Southern Methodist with a 73-57 victory over host San Jose State Saturday night.
The Wahine played without starting center Dainora Puida, who stayed home with the flu.
Hedy Liu filled in nicely, scoring 14 points and pulling down a career high 11 rebounds.
Kylie Galloway led UH with 17 points and Kyla Evers scored 11.
