pays off"Even we were a little surprised by the (monetary) success,'' said Keith Amemiya, HHSAA executive director.
The revenues will be distributed among the five state leagues as well as to the HHSAA for other state tournaments. Amemiya hopes to expand the field from 12 to 16 teams next year and is exploring the possibility of creating a two-class tournament for large and small schools.
Anuenue School Debuts: Anuenue School, the Hawaiian Language Immersion School, entered interscholastic competition for the first time last Saturday. Anuenue entered a junior varsity mixed crew in the OIA outrigger canoe races at Keehi Lagoon, finishing fourth.

BOYS' BASKETBALL
Chad Bailey, Campbell: Scored 19 points to lead the Sabers over Mililani, 63-58.William Broadus, Waianae: Scored 19 points in the Seariders' 50-35 win over Waipahu.
Isaac Dunklee, Radford: Scored a combined 34 points in wins over Moanalua and Leilehua.
Kalei Houpo, Baldwin: Combined for 25 points in two victories over Molokai.
Richard Kim, Punahou: Hit four 3-pointers en route to 14 points to key a Buffanblu rally against Maryknoll.
Casey Kushiyama, University: Scored six of his 21 points in the fourth quarter, hitting one of his four 3-pointers, as the Junior Rainbows rallied past Maryknoll, 52-45. He had 24 in the win over Kamehameha.
Bronson Melemai, Iolani: Hit the game-winning 3-pointer in the closing seconds to keep the Raiders unbeaten in a 48-45 win over University. The sophomore guard went 6-for-6 from the line in the final minutes to clinch the win over St. Louis.
Bobby Nash, Iolani: Scored a game-high 16 points to lead the Raiders over St. Louis, 60-45, in a showdown of the ILH unbeatens.
Junior Wong, St. Louis: Scored 18 points as the Crusaders rebounded from their first loss with a 45-28 win over Damien.
Joshua Yoshimoto, Roosevelt: Came off the bench and scored 13 points as the Rough Riders rallied past Kaimuki.
GIRLS' PADDLING
Maryknoll Division II Varsity: The Spartans' crew of Robin McAneeley, Rachel Baker, Carla Donlin, Lea Sahib, Ashley Hicks and Jamie Adams remained undefeated with their third victory.
GIRLS' SOFTBALL
Rebecca Cadiente, Leilehua: Held Kalani to one hit, striking out seven, in the Mules' OIA Tournament win.Mitzi Ing, Iolani: Pitched a no-hitter, with seven strikeouts, and drove in the game's only run on a triple in a 1-0 victory over University.
Lehua Kiaaina, Kalaheo: Held Mililani to one hit, striking out eight, but lost, 1-0, Saturday. On Friday, she scattered three hits, with 12 strikeouts, in shutting out Campbell.
Kira Kashiwa, Punahou: In four innings, struck out seven and walked one in a combined no-hitter against Maryknoll. She also went 3-for-3 with a double and 2 RBIs in the 10-0 win.
Keala Menza, Kailua: Went 3-for-4 and scored the winning run in the Surfriders' 2-1 victory over Leilehua.

Ricky Anton, Kalaheo: Scored four goals in the Mustangs' 15-0 win over Farrington.
