Foster Grant
Cindy Crawford is the latest model to be
found behind Foster Grants.
Foster Grant, the company behind the ad campaign "Who's that behind those Foster Grants?," is launching a nationwide search for models to appear in its year 2000 print campaign.
The contest is open to men and women, 18 and older, who are United States residents. Send a color head shot, along with name, address, phone number and a 100-word essay explaining why you should be selected.
Entries can be e-mailed to contest@fostergrant.com, or mailed to Foster Grant Model Search, 225 West 34th St., Suite 610, New York, NY 10122. The deadline is March 1.
Fifty finalists, one from each state, will be selected. Their photos and background information will be posted on the Web site http://www.fostergrant.com, and viewers will be able to vote for one male and one female finalist.
Two grand prize winners, one male and one female, will win a trip to New York for a photo session.
When Foster Grant launched its original "Who's" campaign, up-and-coming stars Mia Farrow and Raquel Welch were featured. Said Bill Potts, vice president of marketing, "We would like to do the same by giving an unknown the chance to star."
