CONCERTS

Tapa

The Honolulu Zoo will be the site of free "Jungle Jam" concerts Sundays in January, beginning on the 9th.

The shows, sponsored by the city and the Honolulu Zoological Society, take place 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the Banyan Stage.

The lineup follows:

Sunday -- Royal Hawaiian Band Glee Club, featuring singer Gary Aiko.

Jan. 16 -- "A Polynesian Spectacular," with Tihati Productions presenting the songs and dances of Polynesia.

Jan. 23 -- Hula Joe & The Hutjumpers provide swinging sounds to jump, jive and jitterbug to.

Jan. 30 -- Halau Hula O Maiki performs hula related to wildlife.

The zoo's main gate will open at 3:30 p.m. for concert-goers. For more information, call the zoological society at 926-3191.
