In Greece, most children are named for a saint and every saint has his or her own day on the calendar. In addition to celebrating their birthdays, Greek children celebrate their name's days.

The Honolulu Zoo is celebrating a unique name's day 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday in honor of one of it's youngest residents, a 3-month-old female giraffe.

Mayor Jeremy Harris will announce the winner of the "Name the Baby Giraffe" contest sponsored by Meadow Gold Dairies.

Entertainment will be provided by Karen Keawehawaii and the Royal Hawaiian Band.

The free event takes place at the Banyan Stage on the zoo's main lawn. The Monsarrat Gate will open at 4 p.m.
