Albert H. Akamine, 62, of Honolulu, a retired foreman for Earle M. Jorgensen Steel Co., died Wednesday. He was born in Ewa. He is survived by wife Hatsue "Diana"; daughters Cynthia "Cindy" Covey and Susan "Susie" Ho; brother Kiyosei "Robert"; sisters Tricksy and Rose Oshiro, and Laraine Nishiyama; and a grandson. Memorial service: 7 p.m. tomorrow at Soka Gakkai International USA, Hawaii Cultural Center.

Christine A.M.D. Apilado, 6, of Waipahu, daughter of Antonio Apilado and Cynthia Dadulla, died last Tuesday in Kapiolani Hospital. She was born in Honolulu. She is also survived by sister Geraldine Ilan and grandparents Juan and Fidela Dadulla. Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Mililani Memorial Park Mortuary, makai chapel. Jane M. DeAguiar, 74, of Kealakekua, Hawaii, died last Tuesday in Kona Community Hospital. She was born in Hawaii. Mary E. Farnell, 82, of Wahiawa, retired head dietician for Waimano Training School, died Friday. She was born in Jefferson County, Birmingham, Ala.
