All four isle counties’
sites up and running

Maui County's slick new Web page completes the chain of Internet sites for all four county governments in Hawaii. The cleanly designed Maui site at http://www.co.maui.hi.us/ includes a searchable online version of county ordinances, always handy for finding out what side of the law you are on.

The Big Island's Web pages at http://www.hawaii-county.com/index.htm don't have the ordinances but do include an updated monthly calendar plus a good feedback form.

Kauai County operates a bare bones system at http://www.kauaigov.org/index.html, with little interactive features, although you can send e-mail to the mayor.

Finally, the largest site is the Honolulu county site at http://cchnl.oceanic.com/.

"Home on the Web" is a weekly Friday feature of the Star-Bulletin.
