The artist Wyland uses a cherry picker to paint his
new mural, partly shown above, on a 14-story building
visible from H-1 westbound near the airport. The life-size
whale is 55 feet long. Even barnacles will be life-size,
Wyland says. Below, he highlights the whale's eye.
