Isle restaurateur buys Sunset Grill

Honolulu restaurant operator Fred Livingston has acquired the Sunset Grill in Restaurant Row for an undisclosed price.

Former owners Richard and Monene Bradley, who opened the restaurant in July 1988 at the Punchbowl Street end of the shopping and entertainment complex, have moved to California and said they are no longer able to spend as much time in Honolulu as the restaurant needs. Livingston said there are no plans to change the restaurant's staffing or menus. Livingston also owns three Waikiki restaurants -- Matteo's, Trattoria and Davey Jones Ribs -- as well as the Crouching Lion in Kaaawa.
