fall next year, too
Star-BulletinThe University of Hawaii women's soccer team's record book took a hit in 1999 and the same is expected to happen next season.
The Wahine broke nine individual and five team records in '99 and four of the five record breakers return next year. Only Wendy Miyashiro will graduate.
Junior goalkeeper Demarre Sanchez led the way by setting five individual records, including most shutouts and lowest goals-allowed average in a season.
Sophomore striker Veronica Flores accounted for two marks, including becoming the first Wahine to reach double digits in goals scored during a season when she connected for her 10th goal against Texas Wesleyan.
The Wahine also tied five individual records.
