Remigio rolled a 1,192 to edge Tanner Kubo of Roosevelt by two pins. Ono finished with a 1,148, 51 pins ahead of runner-up Corrina Campos of McKinley.
In the team competition, West champion Aiea defeated East champion Kaiser, 2-0, for the boys' title.
The girls' title went to East champion Kaiser, which won a rolloff with East runner-up Roosevelt, 157-142.
Members of Aiea's championship team are: Jerel Taketa, Jason Kotani, Nicholas Jimenez, Kenneth Hiroshige, Ivan Miyasato, Grayson Kealalio, Sloane Kealalio and Andrew Morris. The coach is Jason Theodorson.
Robin Hashimoto coached Kaiser to victory. The team members are: Kimberly Chu, Cherie Chu, Kristin Yamasaki, Tiffany Woo, Lindsie Shimizu and Sheri Ogata.
Super Prix refunds
Problems with paying vendors for work surrounding the canceled Hawaiian Super Prix will not affect refunds for event ticket holders.Ticket Plus, Inc., CEO Manuel Sanchez said yesterday that refunds will be made promptly. The company is issuing customer refunds via check instead of credit card, including refund for the service charge.
