The Search for Signs
of Hawaiian Life in the Universe

Tapa

Goosed in New York

Carol White of Honolulu snapped this picture of husband Duane
at the Nene Cafe in Brewerton, NY. "We discovered an Aloha
Motel in Pennsylvania but that was trumped by this small
restaurant," reports White. "The current owner did not
know the nene was a Hawaiian goose. It was named by
the previous owner" who didn't explain things
when he sold the place.

The Search for Signs of Hawaiian Life in the Universe is just that -- we're looking for evidence of Hawaiiana everywhere but Hawaii. Send snapshots and a description to TSFSOHLITU, Today Department, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, P.O. Box 3080, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813, or e-mail JPEGS or TIFFs to features@starbulletin.com
