Sam Keaulii rambled 66 yards for a touchdown and threw two scoring passes to Peter Sarono in a 27-point first half explosion that carried Waianae to a 43-7 victory over previously unbeaten Kahuku, the defending OIA champion, at Aloha Stadium last night.

The Seariders, who had lost last week at home to Waipahu, climbed back into the OIA Red Conference race by raising their record to 3-2. The Red Raiders are 4-1.

After the Waianae built a commanding 27-7 lead at the half, Sarono helped put Kahuku away with a 72-yard third-quarter kickoff return for a touchdown

He had caught Keaulii strikes of 5 and 45 yards for second-quarter scores.
