Dominic A. Abregano, 36, of Waipahu died Sept. 13 in St. Francis-West Hospital. He was born in Honolulu. Kenan K. Brown, infant son of Kyle and Rosalynn Brown of Honolulu, died Saturday in Honolulu. Jose Cariaga, 72, of Honolulu, who retired from Dial Electric, died last Tuesday at home. He was born in Lahaina. Edward V.F. Chong, 82, of Waimanalo, a retired supply clerk from Pearl Harbor Naval Station, died last Tuesday in Waimanalo. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Betty; sons Gerald, Gordon, Douglas and Dennis; daughter Melinda Reeves; sisters Gertrude Pak Chong, Agnes Okamoto and Vivian Jay; brothers Leonard, Richard, Wilfred and William; and a grandson. Claire T. Fujimoto, 73, of Pearl City, who retired from Bank of Hawaii, died Thursday in Kapiolani Hospital at Pali Momi. She was born in Pearl City. She is survived by husband Joe S.; son Wayne A.N.; daughters Susan S. Ho and Jan L.T. Nishimura; brother Melvin Muraoka; sisters Kiyoko Tokushige, Nancy Ishimitsu and Eleanor Inouye; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services: 6 p.m. Friday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Frederick Harris, 78, of Honolulu, died Friday in Kaiser Hospital. He was born in Elk Garden, W.Va. He is survived by wife Carmen, sons Charles and Tom, sister Bess Guhin, and four grandchildren. Francis M.A.P. Izumi, 66, of Honolulu, an attorney, died March 9 in Honolulu. He was born in Hana, Maui. He is survived by wife Catherine. Viliami "Pila" Kolomalu, 37, of Honolulu, died Sept. 13 in Kuakini Hospital. He was born in Vavau, Tonga. He is survived by wife Jan A.; son Chad; daughter Tori; brothers Mui Mui, Sione, Laumanu and Vatulele; mother Saane; and sisters Makelesi Vaka, Eseta Noa and Hulita Alo. Takeichi Nakasone, also known as "Take" or "Naka," 85, of Honolulu, a retired heavy equipment mechanic for Pacific Concrete Inc., died Saturday in St. Francis Hospice. He was born in Heeia. He is survived by wife Yoneko; son Eric; daughters Karen Nishimura, Sandra Furutani and June Oshiro; and brothers Tokujiro, Kiichi and Seiko. Leomeharry Ratcliff, 70, of Fairburn, Ga., formerly of Honolulu, a retired major of the U.S. Air Force, died Sept. 5. He also retired from GTE Hawaiian Telephone Co. He is survived by wife Jane O. Sayles-Ratcliff; daughters Gwen Wood, Yolanda Parker and Kareda Henningson; son Leomeharry II; stepdaughters Sherryl Henderson and Kimberly James; stepson Duvahn W. Sayles II; and nine grandchildren. James Shelton, 78, of Honolulu, died Sept. 13 in Honolulu. Born in Honolulu, he is survived by sons James Jr., Fred, Darrel, Jeffrey and Wayne; daughters Lydia Brown, Irene Machado, Debra Silva, Nora Gaylord, Harriet Shelton, May Rogers and Cheryle Braithwaite; brothers William and Thomas; sisters Pearl Tavares and Josephine Kalei; 34 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren. Frederick S.K. Young, 85, of Honolulu, a retired aircraft electrician from Hickam Air Force Base, died Sept. 13 in Queen's Hospital. He was born in Wailua. He is survived by sons Wayne and Wendell Young and Wade Warren; daughters Verna Santos, Geraldine Lindsey and Charlene Whang; sisters Grace Calleon and Eunice Gee; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
