Ohta nails all 10 picks

The easiest pick of a 10-for-10 bull's-eye was the hardest to make for Charles H. Ohta, winner of the top prize in Week 2 of the Football Fever contest.

"I wanted to go with the home team," he said, "but the Rainbows were 27-point underdogs."

Ohta went safely and soundly with USC's Trojans and also picked the winners of four other college games and five NFL exhibition games. His perfect score sheet was the first one drawn that beat the weekend's top celebrity panelists - KINE's Brickwood Galuteria and the Star-Bulletin's Randy Cadiente at 8-2.

Ohta, 40, of Kailua, says he'll probably use the $500 prize money to buy some toys for his 6-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son, "and pay some bills." He also won two tickets to the Hula Bowl on Maui.
