Nieves P. Ancheta, 95, of Aiea, a retired maintenance person at Pearl Country Club, died Thursday in Liliha Health Care Center. She was born in Ilocos Sur, the Philippines. She is survived by sons Mamerto, Portunato, Arnolpho and Antonio; daughters Marina Jones and Jovita Wong, 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Ralph F. Bishop, 82, of Honolulu, a retired captain in the U.S. Navy, died Friday. He is survived by wife Irene M., daughters Patricia Tilles and Barbara C. Bishop, son Kenneth R., sisters Elnora Willis and Marjorie Anderson, and two grandchildren. Committal services: 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.

Harry K.D. Brown Jr., 83, who retired from the U.S. Customs Service, died Aug. 22. He was born in Hilo. He is survived by wife Florence; sons Jonathan, David and John; daughter Michele Akeo; sister Hawea Waiau, 11 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Maurice Burgess, 78, of Kailua, a retired colonel in the U.S. Army, died Friday in Kailua. He was born in Calgary, Canada.
