Francisca Plan Barut, 75, of Honolulu, died Aug. 15 at St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Hana, Maui. She is survived by husband Vivencio; son Ben; daughters Maryline Balasan, Carmen Lam, Helene Miguel, Marybel Gonzaga and Cathy Kuroiwa; brother Sofronio; sister Maxima Pineda, 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Nuuanu Mortuary and 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Church. Call after 6 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.

Ethel Makahala Christensen, 74, of Wailuku, Maui, died Aug. 20 in Ewa Beach. She was born in Kahakuloa, Maui. She is survived by husband Harold "Chris"; sons George Kuamoo, Jr., Calvin and Charles; daughters Margaret Kuamoo, Genevieve Langford, Debbie Kuamoo, Sangria Langsford-Christensen and Geri Souza; hanai son Russell Kuamoo; sisters Irene Kekona Chang Wo, Helen Kekona White, Matilda Kekona Darden and Blanche Kekona Wahinehookai; brother Anthony Kekona; 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Domingo Delizo, 68, of Ewa Beach, a federal government truck driver, died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Ewa. He is survived by wife Nell; sons Don and Del; daughters Debra, Valerie Lopes, Denise Smith and Veronica Travis; brother Salvdor "Lefty"; sister Dolores Lamoya, 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Services: 7 p.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 94-1004 North Road in Ewa Beach. Call after 6 p.m. Burial: 1 p.m. Thursday at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. Casual attire. No flowers.

Cheryle Anna Garma, 51, of Eleele, Kauai, a sales clerk, died Friday at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital. She was born in Lihue. She is survived by husband Bonifacio; sons Anthony, Patrick, Ted, Mike and Boni; daughters Debbie Yoshimitsu and Jennifer Racelo; brothers Alvin and Gaylen Goo; sisters Ululani Nuuhiwa, Marilyn Naihe, Pua Alusa, Kuulei Naumu and Sybil Smith, and 8 grandchildren. Services: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel and 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Kalaleo Ward. Call after 6 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Burial to follow at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Aloha attire.

John Hiroshi Mukai, 67, of Kaneohe, a retired National Weather Service meteorolgist, died Saturday. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Janet; son Richard; daughter Jennifer Wakayama; mother Ayame; sisters Helen Nakamura and Florence Higa, and two grandchildren. Services: 6 p.m. Thursday at Nuuanu Mortuary. Call after 5 p.m. Casual attire.

Taketo Takahashi, 79, of Honolulu, a retired electrical engineer, died Wednesday at Queen's Hospital. He was born in Lihue, Kauai. He is survived by wife Setsuko; sons Wallace and Michael; daughter Joyce Nakauchi; brothers Takeyoshi and Mutsuo, and sisters Hatsue Saito, Harumi Watanabe and Doris Nakamoto. Services: 6 p.m. Thursday at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Call after 5 p.m. Casual attire.

Makoto Tanaka, 76, of San Francisco, a retired Chevron credit card supervisor, died Aug. 11 in San Francisco. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Haruko "Helen,' and daughters Wendy and Cheryl. Services were private.

Marshall Pascua Tomas, 85, of Honolulu, a retired stevedore, died Aug. 13 at Hale Nani Health Center. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Asuncion and sister Isabel Pascua. Services: 7 p.m. Friday at Nuuanu Mortuary and 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John The Baptist Church. Call after 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday. Burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park.

Aiko Yamada, 94, of Honolulu, a retired salesclerk, died Aug. 20 at home. She was born in Niigata, Japan. She is survived by daughters June Hirano and Joan Okino, and sister Mutsuko Endo. Services were private.
