Honors earned

Dr. Tyrie Lee Jenkins of Honolulu has been named one of the nation's top providers of laser vision correction by the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Her practice is named Ke Ala 'Ike (Pathway to Vision).

The Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii has honored Abner Undan, president of Trees of Hawaii, as Filipino Entrepreneur of the Year. The group also named Aldrin Villahermosa, president of AMV Air Conditioning Service Inc., Young Entrepreneur.

Gregory Burgess of Australia has received the 1998/99 Kenneth F. Brown Asia Pacific Culture & Architecture Design Award, winning $25,000 for designing the Uluru-Kata Cultural Centre in Northern Territory, Australia.
