design for Wimberly

Ronald Mitchell will oversee the architectural, planning, design and consulting services worldwide for Wimberly, Allison Tong & Goo. The company currently is designing and managing more than 100 projects in 40 countries.

"The most exciting project is the new Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas," Mitchell said. "The other one is the new Atlantis hotel project in the Bahamas."

He joined the company in 1990 and has 23 years of experience as an architect. He most recently was managing director of the Honolulu office.

Mitchell has been active on projects in Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Egypt, Indonesia, Taiwan, South Africa and Antigua.

He earned a bachelor's degree in English literature from the University of Rhode Island and a master's degree in architecture from Harvard University. Mitchell also attended Cambridge University in England and studied design at Boston Architectural Center.
