Adrian Klemm and Kaulana Noa shouldn't have too much trouble adjusting to any of the offenses run in next year's Hula Bowl. After three head coaches, five coordinators and five offensive line assistants, they've seen it all.

"We've run a little bit of everything since I've been here," Klemm said last week in Dallas. "I'm ready for anything."

The two fifth-year seniors were invited earlier this week to take part in next January's Hula Bowl. Rainbows head coach June Jones learned of the announcement yesterday afternoon and said he was pleased with the picks.

"I think we have even more deserving seniors, who will hopefully get a shot later this year," Jones said.

"The Senior Bowl, the Blue-Gray Classic and the East-West game have also made some inquiries about our guys.

"I'm happy for Klemm and Noa. We believe both of those guys will be playing at the next level some day.

"This is a good opportunity for both of them."

Noa and Klemm were a part of Bob Wagner's final year as head coach for the Rainbows. Current defensive assistant George Lumpkin recruited Klemm in 1995. Former coach Al Beavers signed Noa on the Big Island.

"I knew Adrian had a chance to be a good player," Lumpkin said. "He has been asked to do a lot of different things since he's been here. He's very deserving of the selection."

Klemm was named to several preseason All-Conference teams, including the first unit of the Dallas Morning News. He has gained almost 70 pounds since losing so much weight last year to play tight end.

"Little guys were throwing me around when I moved back to tackle, which was kind of embarrassing," Klemm said.

"I'm in much better shape now. I'm strong and ready to show what I can do."

While Klemm will anchor the left tackle position up front, Noa will be protecting senior quarterback Dan Robinson from the right tackle spot. He has been the one consistent offensive lineman the last few years.
