James Dwight Oaks, 62, of Hilo, a retired restaurant owner, died Thursday at home. Born in Marion, Virginia, he is survived by wife Gloria Egle-Oaks; sons James Steven, Gregory Dwight and Richard Todd, hanai son Eddy James Coykendall, step-daughter Lisa Coykendall and seven grandchildren.
