Preparing for global
issues in Asia-Pacific

Hideo Mita handles all responsibilities for accounting, finance, general affairs, information systems, personnel and budget for the Japan-America Institute of Management Science.

He also will serve as liaison between the Hawaii Kai-based institution and its founder, Fujitsu Ltd. of Japan.

"As a new member of JAIMS, I would like to continue the endeavor of preparing global managers with the finest intercultural education possible," Mita said. "I hope my experience of living in different countries will contribute in providing a better understanding of global issues in the Asia-Pacific."

He replaces Makoto Takenaka, who has returned to Japan.

Mita has 26 years of experience with Fujitsu and most recently was general manager for the International Computer Business Group in Tokyo. He has been involved in the company's computer systems sales activities, including 14 years in Brazil, Italy and Spain.
