The ocean is the focus of the free E Malama I Ke Kai
Ocean Festival at Ihilani Resort and Spa Saturday.
Entertainment will be provided by some the island's top local artists including 1999 Na Hoku Hanohano Female Vocalist of the Year Kekuhi Kanahele, Sudden Rush, Melveen Leed, Loyal Garner and Iva Kinimaka, George Kuo and friends, Halau Kealakapawa, Na Pualei O Likolehua, and others.
There will be free HPD keiki identification cards available, games and activities for all ages, and of course, ono food for sale. On the menu are fresh fried fish, beef stew plate, Hawaiian kalua pig plate, shoyu chicken plate, hot dogs and hamburgers, poi mochi, shave ice and drinks, but no alcohol.
There will also be a special appearance by the crew of the Makali'i voyaging canoe.
Admission and parking are free. All proceeds from booth sales will benefit Punana Leo (Hawaiian language) schools on Oahu. The event is being sponsored by Punana Leo O Kawaiaha'o and Ihilani.

The 35-member Folk Song and Dance Ensemble of the Agricultural Academy of Lublin, Poland, will share its music and dances during "Polish Days in Hawaii," beginning Sunday. Enjoy Polish music and
dance next weekPerformances will be at Polynesian Cultural Center at 5:30 Monday through Thursday. Additional performances take place as follows:
Sunday -- Ala Moana Shopping Center stage, noon; and Kapiolani Park Bandstand Polish Fair, 4 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday -- Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, 10 a.m.
The ensemble has earned several awards in Poland and abroad.
