Gary Nelson takes over a new position to manage client accounts and sales for Team Unlimited. Team Unlimited
appoints hotel veteranThe company, with offices in Honolulu and Los Angeles, produces television and marketing events. These events include the recently completed Outrigger Hotels Hawaiian Oceanfest, and the XTERRA America Tour. "We are right now working on the XTERRA America Tour, a 10-leg, off-road triathlon across the continent ending with the championship at Wailea" on Oct. 31, Nelson said.
He has 23 years in sales and resort work, and most recently was national sales manager at the Outrigger Wailea Resort on Maui. He also worked in food and beverage operations and as the resort's director of catering and convention services.
Nelson also spent 15 years at Maui Intercontinental Resort and with Marriott Hotels on Maui and in Arizona. He moved from California to Maui in 1976.
