Keeping things interesting
at Kahala Mandarin

Wolfgang Krueger will be responsible for daily operations at the 371-room Kahala Mandarin Oriental.

The hotel recently added dancing in the lobby lounge on Saturdays from 8-11 p.m.

"We got a very good response to that, especially from local people," Krueger said. "We have other plans to make sure this hotel stays interesting for our regular guests and new guests."

He has been with the Mandarin Oriental Group for seven years and was executive assistant manager at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur. He also was food and beverage director at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong and worked six years for Hilton International in Istanbul, Turkey; Brussels, Belgium; London; and Dusseldorf, Germany.

Krueger took a summer course at Cornell University and now is a member of the Cornell Society of Hotelmen. He also is a member of the Hotel & Catering International Management Association and World Association of Chefs.
